A New Addition

Exciting news here we have a new addition to our family. It is a little shubunkin to go with our other five fish. There is no photo yet but here is one of the tank before the new edition.

I love my fish it is so peaceful to sit and watch them swimming about. I didn't realise how big they were until we put the new fish in it looks tiny but it will soon grow. I was a bit worried at first when we put the little shubunkin in as fish have a reputation of being cannibals but everything went fine, they were curious but they seem to have accepted the new addition to the family. People say that fish have a five second memory well I disagree with that. My fish definitely recognise us and they beg for food whenever we walk past the tank. They are very tame and will almost feed out of your hand.

As well as a new fish I have also been getting on with some knitting for my local group. We give to a lot of different charities and they seem to really appreciate what they receive. Unfortunately most of the items we knit are bound for abroad as charities in Britain don't really want any hand knitted clothes which I think is a shame as I would love most of what I knit to stay in this country. I will post photos of what I am knitting when they are completed which should be within the next couple of days. We had a little party last week to celebrate one year of Kirkcaldy Knit Club. There are about 15 of us altogether and it is amazing the amount of items we knit considering our very small number of people. If I didn't have knit club I would feel quite lonely as I have moved about a lot and any friends that I made along the way at school and university have all gone. I really should one day make an effort to try and contact some of them but that's easier said than done. It is a great bunch of ladies at knit club and we have a good laugh and a blether about all sorts of thing it is just the tonic you need I highly recommend it.

Well I better go now as it is getting very late and I really need my beauty sleep and when I say I really need it I mean I really really need it. Oh well I supposed I should be happy that I was blessed with brains but heyho thems the breaks.

Cheerybye for now.
